ABOUT

THE PERSON YOUR CHECKLIST WOULD HAVE MISSED. BUILDING THE FIRM THAT FINDS THEM.

Founder / Chief Solutions Officer

Ellis Blevins

I have hated resumes and job descriptions for 26 years. They are two of the most useless documents in the hiring process — and the system built around them is why brilliant, extraordinary people keep getting filtered out before a human ever reads their name.

I’m an AuDHD woman who has spent 26 years in recruiting, talent strategy, and operations. I’ve also spent 26 years being the person in the room who sees things differently. My pattern recognition is almost annoying. My husband refuses to watch movies with me because I identify the villain in the first scene. I ask one more question when everyone else has moved on. I see the angle nobody flagged.

It took a late ADHD diagnosis — and an even later Autism diagnosis — to give me the vocabulary for what I’d been doing my whole career.

Here’s what I know for certain: if you don’t understand someone’s language, something important will always get lost. Neurospicy people communicate differently. The cost of not understanding that — in hiring, in retention, in team dynamics — is enormous. Most companies are paying that cost every single day without knowing it.

“I’ve called a CIO I placed at a company and said: I know HR doesn’t love us talking,

but I just met someone who needs to work for you. After a quick interview, the CIO created a job for them.”

Fluid does it differently. I get to know your business, your team, and the actual environment someone is walking into. I push back on job descriptions. I send one candidate instead of ten.

I have fired clients. I have been fired by clients. That is how it works. If I’m not the right solution for you, I will get you to the right person.

The background.

26 years in talent strategy and recruiting. Before Fluid: Robert Half (Division Director level), Amadeus Consulting, Sun Microsystems. Co-founded Jobber, a talent strategy firm that built hiring personas at scale for Dish, Angie’s List, and Applied Trust/ViaWest.

I chair the Workforce Committee for the Colorado Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce — the nation’s first neurodiversity chamber — and am a proud Preferred Partner. Nearly two decades in the Colorado tech community through the Colorado Technology Association.

Education: RISD, Harvard, UC San Diego, Universidad de Cantabria, .

I gave myself the title Chief Solutions Officer because I love solving problems — and also because titles are a bit ridiculous, so giving myself one is partly amusing.

Why this, why now.

The argument I’ve been making about broken hiring processes for 26 years just got a lot louder. Gartner is direct about what the AI era requires: creativity, systems thinking, pattern recognition. These are the skills that will define who stays valuable and who gets automated.

These are also — not coincidentally — the exact strengths of the neurodivergent brain.

The candidates your hiring process has been filtering out are the only ones who survive what’s coming. I’ve known that for 26 years. Now the data agrees.
